• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.

• Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Join us as a Customer Project Manager (m/f/x) and help shape the future of space communications. In this role, you will serve as the key interface between our customers and internal project teams, ensuring customer expectations are aligned with project realities and that commitments are communicated clearly throughout the project lifecycle.

We are looking for a Customer Project Manager to support our Project Leads in the successful delivery of customer programs. Acting as the voice of the customer within the organization and the voice of the project towards the customer, you will help ensure transparent communication, timely issue resolution, and successful projec t execution.
You will work closely with Business Development, Sales, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance functions while supporting multiple projects across commercial and government customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage customer expectations regarding scope, deliverables, timelines, risks, and project status.
• Coordinate customer communications and ensure stakeholders receive regular updates.
• Prepare and facilitate customer reviews, status meetings, milestone reviews, and executive briefings.
• Escalate customer concerns and ensure timely resolution through the appropriate internal teams.

Project Lead Support

• Support Project Leads in planning, tracking, and coordinating customer-facing project activities.
• Ensure customer requirements are clearly documented, communicated, and understood by project teams.
• Assist Project Leads in maintaining project schedules, milestones, action logs, and risk registers.
• Monitor project progress against customer commitments and highlight deviations early.
• Coordinate cross-functional follow-up activities required to meet customer deliverables.
• Support the preparation of project reviews, gate reviews, progress reports, and management presentations.

Contract and Deliverable Management

• Maintain awareness of customer contractual requirements, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and milestones.
• Track customer deliverables and ensure alignment between contractual obligations and project execution plans.
• Support change request management and ensure scope modifications are appropriately documented and communicated.
• Monitor customer milestone achievements and support associated documentation and reporting activities.
• Coordinate with Sales Operations, Finance, and Program teams regarding customer orders, invoicing milestones, and contractual deliverables.

Risk and Issue Management

• Assist Project Leads in identifying and tracking project risks, dependencies, and issues.
• Ensure customer-impacting risks are proactively communicated and mitigation plans are developed.
• Support issue resolution by coordinating actions across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Provide early visibility of schedule, cost, or technical concerns that may affect customer commitments.

Reporting and Governance

• Maintain customer reporting metrics.
• Support weekly and monthly project reviews and executive reporting.
• Track customer actions, risks, and deliverables.
• Ensure proper documentation of customer communications, decisions, and commitments.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management and customer engagement processes.

What you bring with you

Required

• 3-7 years of experience in project management, customer project management, account delivery management, or program coordination within aerospace, satellite communications, telecommunications, high-tech manufacturing, or related industries.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• Experience working in cross-functional project environments involving Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to translate technical information into customer-friendly language.
• Strong presentation and reporting skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.

Desired

• Experience in the aerospace, satellite, defense, or telecommunications industries.
• Familiarity with customer deliverables, contractual milestones, and change management processes.
• Experience supporting product development or manufacturing projects.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Experience working in matrix organizations.
• Exposure to international customers and cross-cultural business environments.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
