Job summary

SAP IT Business Systeme in Germany seeks an experienced SAP program leader for large-scale retail transformations. You will own project scope, budgets, resources, and executive stakeholder management, working with SAP Activate Agile and the SAP Cloud ALM toolchain to deliver value for retail customers.

You will guide cross-functional teams, drive presales activities, and help customers adopt AI-assisted delivery while maintaining delivery quality and governance.

What you'll bring

You have at least eight years of SAP consulting experience. Several of those years were spent in a leading project management role. You have successfully delivered complex, large-scale SAP projects in the retail sector.

You communicate with clarity and confidence — at every level, including the C-suite — in both German and English. You build trust with customers and stakeholders by staying consistent and direct. You manage conflict well and keep projects on track, even in complex environments.

You bring deep SAP knowledge and end-to-end process expertise in retail and wholesale. You have experience managing project scope, budgets, and resources. A certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or SAP Activate methodology is a plus.

AI tools are part of how you work every day. You apply Agentic AI, use context engineering, and assure the quality of AI-generated results. You help teams adopt AI tools and use AI-assisted automation to improve delivery. Pre-sales experience and long-term customer relationship management round out your profile.

What you'll build

You take full ownership of large-scale SAP transformation programs for retail customers. You are responsible for project scope, budgets, resource planning, and executive-level stakeholder management.

• You lead SAP implementations using the SAP Activate Agile methodology.
• You manage an agent-led toolchain — SAP Cloud ALM (project tracking), SAP Signavio (process intelligence), and SAP LeanIX (enterprise architecture).
• You lead and develop interdisciplinary project teams, supporting their professional growth.
• You drive presales activities, manage proposal processes, and build customer relationships at the decision-making level.
• You contribute to developing and refining the team's delivery approach.

You join a specialised team of architects and project managers with concentrated retail industry expertise. This team delivers some of the most complex SAP programs in the German retail market — and is recognised for its methodological approach to large-scale transformation.

The team is part of SAP Customer Engagement & Adoption, the consulting organisation of SAP. In the Industry Division Retail, we help German retail customers realise the value of SAP Cloud solutions quickly and sustainably. Implementation precision and lasting customer outcomes are what we measure ourselves by.
