Position Purpose | The Custodial Afternoon/Evening Shift Manager oversees the daily operations of the custodial team during their assigned shift(s). This role ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, faculty, and staff. The Shift Manager coordinates and supervises a team of supervisors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols and maintains high standards of cleanliness across all assigned areas. They act as a critical point of contact between custodial staff, squad leaders, and building occupants, fostering a positive work environment and delivering excellent service. The incumbent provides leadership in managing custodial services, including hiring, onboarding, managing personnel, supplies, equipment, and vendor relations. Collaborates with stakeholders to support academic, research, athletic activities, and manages special events and campus emergencies. |
