AI is the new electricity. Millions of AI engineers are needed to transform industries with AI, particularly in the realm of GenAI, and we’re building an education platform to train them. With a mission to grow and connect the global AI community,
Curriculum Developer (CD) will work with our internal Curriculum Product Managers (CPMs) and network of world experts in the AI space to create high-quality education content. You will leverage your expertise in learning experience design to help Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) produce high-quality courses and effective learning experiences. Your experience as an educator, your technical skills in the AI space, and your ability to communicate and work well with a team are essential for this role.
We are open to remote global workers as long as they are available to work within 3 time zones of California (PDT / GMT -7).
Responsibilities:
- Convert the SME’s vision into effective learning content: Take ideas and rough materials (hand-sketched slides, notes, recorded videos) from SMEs and transform them into learner-facing content (slides, scripts, quizzes, reading items, etc.). You should be sufficiently technical to understand the material and its intent, and able to rapidly upskill as needed.
- Review and provide feedback on technical content: Act as the learner’s advocate to ensure content is engaging, accurate, and cohesive. Identify areas for improvement and suggest or implement solutions.
- Ensure high content quality and good pedagogy: Collaborate with peers and SMEs to align feedback and content, creating assessments, editing videos, and refining materials with attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Technical background in math, data science, and programming sufficient to follow online courses in machine learning. Proficiency in calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and Python programming is expected, with the ability to learn new AI topics quickly.
- Usually demonstrated by a master’s degree in STEM or a bachelor’s degree with certified online courses in related fields.
- Experience designing or teaching technical courses, including creating slide presentations, reading or lecture materials, and assessments.
- Knowledge of instructional design best practices for content creation.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- A team-oriented mindset with flexibility in timing and tasks to produce high-quality work.
Preferred:
- A PhD in Math, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Industry experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, or similar role.
- Experience developing online curricula in AI, machine learning, data science, robotics, or related areas.
- Familiarity with pedagogical practices like defining learning objectives and backward design.
Our values include:
- Deep care for learners and prioritizing their needs.
- Striving for excellence in content and team quality.
- Taking action with limited information and ownership.
- Asking questions and advocating for the best ideas.
- Being honest, transparent, and sharing successes and failures.
- Collaborating and having fun as a team, even remotely.
What we offer:
We are committed to an environment of mutual respect and equal opportunity, valuing diversity and inclusion. Recruitment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.
