About the Role

We’re looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to own and scale our technology architecture, product development, and AI strategy—as a potential late co-founder. From day one, you’ll be hands-on, shaping our roadmap, working directly with the founders, and driving the evolution of BODDY’s tech and product stack.

This is a high-impact role with real strategic depth. We’re not looking for a people manager sitting in an ivory tower. We need a builder, a doer, and a leader who leads by example—especially in the first 6–12 months. While we’re ideally seeking someone full time, we’re also open to part-time arrangements, with the possibility to increase their engagement over time.

What You’ll Do

• Own and lead all aspects of BODDY’s tech and product architecture—from backend, frontend, and mobile to infrastructure and security.
• Drive our tech transition, merging two backends and consolidating multiple apps and web platforms into one unified, scalable ecosystem.
• Design and implement a modular, scalable architecture as we evolve from a monolith to microservices.
• Unify the mobile experience with React Native and elevate the web frontend with ReactJS, with a strong focus on usability and performance.
• Research, build, and launch AI capabilities from the ground up.
• Contribute to the product vision, roadmap, and UX, collaborating closely with the CPO and CEO. Over time, you’ll have the chance to expand into broader product leadership.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business—from founders and ops to partnerships and investors.
• Build and lead the tech team while remaining hands-on and deeply involved in the codebase.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes to ensure performance, cost efficiency, and international scalability.
• Set clear milestones, meet timelines, and communicate transparently—with a founder mindset throughout.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience with expertise in scalable systems, cloud infrastructure, and APIs.
• Deep knowledge of backend (C#, .NET), frontend (ReactJS), and mobile (Swift, Kotlin, React Native) technologies.
• The rare blend of strategic thinking and execution: you can architect for the long term and write production-grade code.
• Strong interest and ideally experience in building AI-powered features, LLM integrations, or automation frameworks (exposure to agentic AI is a plus).
• A product mindset: you care about UX, iterate quickly, and translate vision into intuitive features.
• It will be a strong plus if you have built (or worked in) and scaled a technology start-up or scale-up.
• Experience building digital consumer products is a strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters is highly desirable.
• High standards for code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Fluent English; any additional European language is a plus.
• Based in Europe and open to travel as needed.
