Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on quality and patient safety. The role requires competency in radiology/CT, patient positioning, and adherence to proper scan protocols.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting and basic computer skills. On-call and weekend shifts may be required to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health education and AMA-accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
• One to two years of previous CT experience in a hospital setting are preferred.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• To perform a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question.
• Understanding of the process of computed radiology, image processing, archiving and sending of images to the PACS stations and performs these tasks accurately and free of error.
• Operates all scanners and other associated equipment such as pressure injectors to acquire high quality diagnostic images on patients regardless of age group.

Summary

The mission of the department of Diagnostic Imaging is to provide quality images and treatments to patients in a compassionate and efficient manner.Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, CT Supervisor, Diagnostic Imaging Manager and the Administrator of Diagnostic Imaging, the CT Technologist shall perform procedures on selected anatomy as requested by the clinician on patients based on age appropriateness criteria. The technologist is expected to perform a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question. Must be able to work scheduled weekdays, weekends and “ON CALL” hours as scheduled, if applicable.

The Ideal Candidate

Salary Range

$34.44 - $52.48

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
