Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to support the operating room team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will scrub for procedures, manage instruments and supplies, and assist in transportation and perioperative tasks to ensure smooth patient care.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred Associate’s Degree and CST certification. Shift is 4 x 10’s with possible call, providing a solid US healthcare environment.

Summary

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist I acts as a scrub person who handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure, anticipates the needs of the surgeon and surgical team and has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care; Responsible for assisting with support services in the delivery of care to operative patients, including transportation, independent inventory management, environmental cleanliness and direct assistance to patients, visitors and staff. This role includes assignments in other ancillary roles within Perioperative Services.
