Mercury GmbH is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to coordinate Civil, Structural, and Architectural work packages on-site in Germany. You will oversee safety, QA, scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor management, ensuring projects meet client requirements and deadlines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and Chartered Engineer status, with strong on-site CSA experience, leadership, and organizational skills to drive project success.

Qualificações

• Chartered Engineering in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Demonstrate practical on-site CSA works of both temporary and permanent nature.
• Strong organizational, construction inspection, and record-keeping skills.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages.
• Ensure site safety in collaboration with Mercury Safety Advisor.
• Manage Site QA with Project Manager and team.
• Oversee Project Schedule with Planner, PMs, Contractors and engineers.
• Control costs with project QS including labour, material, plant, variations, valuations.
• Produce and maintain daily and weekly site documentation and meetings.
• Lead site operations and monitor subcontractor performance and documentation.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Manage the co-ordination of the Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages.
• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with Mercury Safety Advisor, including set up,
• management of and closing out of file.
• Management of Site QA in conjunction with Mercury Project Manager and team includingset up, management and close out of file
• Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Planner, Project Managers, Sub-
• Contractors and consulting Engineer/Architect to Mercury Engineering and Client requirements.
• Short term planning and production control for CSA trades with coordination with other disciplines
• Management of all costs associated with Project with the support of the project QS including:
  • Labour
  • Material
  • Plant and Equipment
  • Variations
  • Valuations
• Management of all day to day site operations
• Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and
• Ensure that there is a weekly minuted meeting with sub-contractor.
• Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation including safety documentation is maintained, up to date and filed for future reference.
• Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planningand Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
• Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety
• File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the Support of your
• Project team.
• Issue Daily Report to the Project Manager
• Issue weekly safety stats & project labour projections.
• Hold weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are
• been captured and costs issued to the client.
• Develop and implement company procedures with the project managers
• Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).
• Review drawings and setting out details
• Produce builders works drawings for services
• Carry out distribute & close out CSA snags
• All other duties associated with this role.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

• Overall 5+ years of experience in the construction sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or other relevant degree.
• Chartered Engineering in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Demonstrate practical on-site experiences in CSA works of both a temporary and permanent nature.
• Demonstrated a high level of organizational, construction inspection, and record-keeping skills with an ability to work independently.
• Demonstrate a detailed understanding of industry QA standards, procedures, and processes.
• Leadership ability (team building, coaching, mentoring, change management, advising
• Multi-tasking ability (prioritize, organize, schedule work).
