Gleeds Corporate Services Ltd in Frankfurt is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join the Finance team. You will manage a portfolio of customers, monitor payment terms, and ensure cash flow is maximised.

The role requires 3–5 years' experience, excellent communication skills, and strong Excel proficiency. Initially office-based in Frankfurt with a move to hybrid working as you settle in.

Qualifikationen

• IT literacy with Excel proficiency.
• Professional level of English; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Hold responsibility for a portfolio of customers; ensure payments per terms.
• Resolve internal and external queries about outstanding invoices.
• Analyse payment history and reconcile client accounts.
• Negotiate payment plans where necessary.
• Provide regular reporting to the International Finance Director.

About this opportunity

This role will report directly to the International Finance Director and will be a key member of staff within the Finance team.

You will need to possess excellent communication skills, be confident working within a team and on your own, and possess excellent time management skills. This role will require a highly credible individual with the ability to build trust and rapport with key stakeholders across the firm and potentially with external clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Holding responsibility for a portfolio of customers, ensuring clients pay as per agreed terms.
• Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices.
• Analysing payment history and reconciliation of clients accounts.
• Negotiating payment plans where necessary.
• Sending out of client statements and letters.
• Ensuring that company policies and procedures for the department are maintained at all times to ensure cash flow is maximised.
• Providing the International Finance Director with regular reports, including highlighting any escalation required.
• Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices.
• Providing ad-hoc reporting as and when required by management.
• Assisting with ad hoc projects within the Financial team.
• Liaising with colleagues across the business to ensure prompt resolution of any queries/disputes both on the phone, Teams meetings and office visits.
• Other general office duties as required.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

• Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience workingas a credit controller in a finance team or in a similar job function.
• Solid experience working to reporting timetables.
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• IT Literate, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Flexibility to work in both a team environment and individually.
• Professional level of English. Native, bilingual or C-level German. Additional knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is an asset.
• Eligible to work in Germany.
• Based in or around Frankfurt (no accommodation provided).
