YouLend is seeking an experienced Collections Team Lead for Germany to build and lead a high-performing team from our Berlin office. You will recruit, coach, and manage collections activities while ensuring compliant, data-driven decision-making and customer-focused outcomes.

The role emphasizes KPIs, SLAs, and collaboration with risk, operations, and customer success to optimize processes and drive sustainable repayment solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Credit Control, Collections, or Debt Recovery.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a leadership or management role within the same domain.
• Experience managing teams of 5+ team members.
• Proven success leading and developing high-performing collections/credit control teams.
• Facts-based problem solver with a get-things-done mentality.
• Strong communicator with ability to drive team performance.

• Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team of Collections Agents.
• Inspire and motivate them to consistently meet and exceed KPIs and SLAs.
• Provide ongoing coaching through regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and team sessions, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented culture.
• Oversee daily collections activities across multiple lending geographies, handle escalated or complex customer cases with professionalism and empathy.
• Work closely with Customer Success and other departments to resolve issues and embed best practices.
• Drive efficiency through process improvements and the smart use of data and automation, ensuring all activities comply with internal policies, BaFin guidelines, and TCF principles.
• Use data and analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions, while championing fair customer outcomes and sustainable repayment solutions.

The Role

In this role, you will be instrumental in unlocking the full potential of our people and driving exceptional team performance. You will recruit, develop and empower a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, growth and results. Working closely with other team leaders and senior leadership, ensuring our operations deliver maximum impact and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Understanding of debt management strategies and regulatory frameworks.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Credit Control, Collections, or Debt Recovery.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a leadership or management role within the same domain.
• Experience managing teams of 5+ team member.
• Proven success leading and developing high-performing collections / credit control teams.
• A facts-based problem solver and have a get-things-done mentality.
• A great communicator with an ability to drive team performance.
• Strong use of Excel or any data analysis software is a plus.
• Successful track record of delivering against ambitious target.
• Exceptional oral and written communication, listening, and presentation skills.
• You will be proactive, take ownership, and act with urgency.
