Street Child Germany is seeking a hands-on Director to lead operations, fundraising and growth. You will report to the Board and collaborate with the global Street Child network, steering income development and compliance while guiding day-to-day operations from Munich.

The role requires a strong fundraising background, German foundation relations, and the ability to grow partnerships across diverse funding channels within a small but ambitious team.

Qualifikationen

  • Extensive experience in German fundraising with foundations, philanthropists and corporates.
  • Native in German and English at least negotiation level (written and spoken).
  • Residence in Germany is required.

About Street Child Germany:

Street Child Germany e.V. is a growing German charity organization that is part of the international Street Child network, committed to ensuring every childis ‘safe, in school and learning’.As alegallyindependent German charity, acting in smart alignment withtheglobal Street Child movement, we focus on empowering local partners and communities in some of the world’s most vulnerable settings. Our German team is small, mission-driven, and works collaboratively across borders,attracting support from a healthy balance of institutional, philanthropic,corporateand private sources.

The Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and hands-onDirector of Street ChildGermany to lead the operations and future development of Street Child Germany, atan exciting and pivotal stagein theorganisation'sdevelopment. Reporting directly to the Board and collaborating closely with our Street Child network partners, theDirectorwill lead all aspects of the organization’s functioning,withfundraising andincome growth as the central priority of the role, alongsidepartnerships,day-to-dayoperationsand compliance. Street Child Germany officeis located inMunich.

This is a key opportunity for a dynamic professional, bringing astrongfundraising and, ideally, arelevant programmatic background, who is ready to grow with the organization and help scale its impact in Germany and ultimately in our project countries, by driving growing, sustainable levels of income from diverse channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement thefundraising strategyof Street Child Germany– under the direction of theBoard andin smart collaboration with global network colleagues. Witha clear focus onbuilding reliable,diversifiedand scalable income for Street Child Germany
  • Represent and grow Street Child Germany as a trusted and impactful non-profit organization
  • Lead grant applications and ensure accountability and reporting to German funding partners
  • Support and managethefundraising team
  • Oversee daily operations, including project controlling, finance, administration, HR, and compliance (with support from external fiduciaries and legal partners)
  • Drive theoptimallevel of smart collaboration and healthy relationship, balancing multiple factors, between the German entity and the international Street Child network
  • Support governance processes and work closely with the Boardof Street Child Germanyon strategy, risk, and reporting
  • Drive visibility, partnerships, and future growth opportunities.
Your Profile:
  • Passionate identification with the values and goals of Street Child
  • Extensive experience in German fundraising with foundations, philanthropists and corporates and adeepunderstanding of the local donor landscape, with the ability to turn relationships,proposalsand opportunities into sustainable income
  • Broad experience with German institutional funders likeBengo/BMZ,AuswärtigesAmt, EU is a big plus,the ability and willingness to engage in this sphere, regardless of prior exposure, is essential
  • Native in German and English at least negotiation level (written and spoken).
  • Residence in Germany isrequired.Availabilitytoworkfrom the Munich office isaplusbut not essential.
  • Excellent at managing strong, trusting relationships withwiderangeof stakeholders.
  • Ability to build a team and experience in leading teams to successful outcomes within a partially remote setup
  • Independent and solution-oriented, with a hands-on,calmand flexible attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a small structure and ambitious about the opportunity to grow the operations
  • Experience with German non-profit law, governance, or association management
