About The Role

In this position, your main responsibility will be to build and manage a highly effective team capable of achieving the sales, financial and marketing objectives set by the CEO.

You will also be responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies in collaboration with head office to increase brand recognition and value in the DACH market.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in economics and commerce and 7 to 10 years' experience in sales and marketing in DACH markets, with a preference for those who have worked in the pet food industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize strong negotiation and business skills to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Effectively lead and manage human resources to create a positive work environment and maximize team performance.
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and drive sales growth.
  • Monitor key economic indicators and financial documents such as P&L, balance sheet and cash flow to ensure profitability and sustainability.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors and stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in essential IT tools, including Navision, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Internet platforms.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities, partnerships and distribution channels to expand market presence and increase revenue streams.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales and market share growth objectives.

Skills and expertise required:

  • Master's degree in economics, business or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, general management and business development, preferably within the pet food industry.
  • Strong understanding of the DACH market dynamics and distribution channels.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills, able to develop and execute effective sales strategies.

Languages:

  • Fluent German and English
  • Italian and/or French will be considered a plus
