Cost Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks
  1. Manage / Support cost engineering activities in different frames: from feasibility studies to implementation proposals, from specific subsystems to E2E systems, for very different domains, from Earth Observation to Telecommunication or Science Exploration, for a variety of customers, but in particular ESA, EC, DLR.
  2. Provide costing expertise to the project team supporting the collection and validation of cost input, from internal company sources (departments) and external team members and suppliers.
  3. Coordinate the cost engineering activities ensuring the delivery of the required cost analyses (respecting the customer and the company internal requirements) in quality and in time.
  4. Support the cost optimisation activities ensuring that the different constraints and requirements are properly reflected (technical, programmatic, financial, georeturn, etc.).
  5. Ensure that the cost analyses are reviewed according to internal policies and are aligned within all internal stakeholders (management, BD, project team, departments, procurement, controlling, etc.).
  6. Contribute to the definition of the internal processes associated with cost engineering.
  7. Contribute to the definition of the set of tools and templates associated with cost engineering.
  8. Contribute to the organization and execution of in-house trainings on cost engineering.
Your Qualifications
  1. Completed studies (Diploma or Master) in aerospace engineering or equivalent qualification (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics).
  2. Strong experience in cost engineering.
  3. Advanced knowledge of the MS suite (VBA coding, high-level skills with MS Word).
  4. Very good communication skills in oral/written English and German.
  5. Experience in the space sector.

Additional competences considered strong assets:

  1. Experience in the commercial space sector.
  2. System engineering or Project Management background.
