OHB is looking for a cost engineer to manage various cost engineering activities, providing costing expertise and coordinating analyses across different domains. The role involves supporting cost optimisation while adhering to project specifications. You will contribute to defining tools and processes, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
Ideal candidates have a degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and advanced skills in MS Excel. Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of German is a plus. This position offers a hybrid work option and a range of employee benefits.
Manage / Support cost engineering activities in different frames: from feasibility studies to implementation proposals from specific subsystems to E2E systems for all domains, from Earth Observation to Telecommunication or Science Exploration for a variety of customers, but in particular ESA, EC, DLR, BW. Provide costing expertise to the project team supporting the collection and validation of cost input from internal company sources (departments) and external team members and suppliers. Coordinate the cost engineering activities ensuring the delivery of the required cost analyses (respecting the customer and the company internal requirements) in quality and in time. Support the cost optimisation activities granting that the different constraints and requirements are properly reflected (technical, programmatic, financial, georeturn, etc etc). Ensure that the cost analyses is reviewed according to the internal policies and is aligned within all the internal stakeholders (management, BD, project team, departments, procurement, controlling, etc). Contribute to the definition of the internal processes associated to cost engineering. Contribute to the definition of the set of tools and templates associated to cost engineering. Contribute to the organization and execution of in-house trainings on cost engineering.
