Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Controls Service Engineer for a world leading automation & data driven business that uses innovative technology to shape the future of intralogistics.

Job Role: Controls Service Engineer

Location: Dortmund

Salary: €55,000 - €60,000 plus overtime, travel allowances and benefits.

As a Controls Service Engineer your remit will include:

• Playing a key role in operations for fully automated intralogistics systems.
• Providing on-call services, intervening quickly and efficiently in the event of disruptions and offering remote 2nd and 3rd level support.
• Independently carrying out smaller projects and contributing your extensive specialist knowledge.
• Demonstrating specialist knowledge during retrofits and modernizations of existing systems.
• Creating detailed documentation and actively sharing your knowledge with the team.
• Traveling up to 20% to assist with customer problems on site or to support project implementations.
• Ensuring smooth functionality of the systems and providing the best possible support to customers.

What you will bring to the position:

• A completed degree or further training as a technician, master craftsman, or a comparable qualification in electrical engineering, automation technology, or mechatronics.
• Solid experience in PLC programming, especially with TIA, S7, or Beckhoff TwinCat2/3, along with knowledge of fieldbuses, HMI systems, and frequency converters.
• Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams and practical experience in troubleshooting electrical and control engineering.
• Familiarity with common office applications.
• Fluent communication in German and good English skills.
• Willingness to continue training and strong teamwork and communication skills.
