Tasks and Qualifications :
What will you do in this role?
Develop, optimize, and integrate new control hardware and software for intralogistics products and subsystems. You will work on control systems such as Siemens S7, Step7, and TIA portal.
Analyze customer requests, ensure realization, and implement solutions in control systems.
Configure and parameterize fieldbus systems such as Profibus and Profinet.
Configure, test, and optimize drive technologies, including frequency converters.
Manage communication interfaces with higher-level computer systems and subsystems, including requirement specifications, interface adaptation, and testing.
Emulate customer-specific software.
Commission mechatronic systems, such as storage and retrieval systems, at customer sites domestically and internationally.
Analyze and resolve errors in delivered systems.
Build and maintain customer relationships in international markets.
Act as the local contact for project-related questions.
Create operating and message interfaces for HMI and SCADA solutions.
Develop and support documentation and operating instructions.
Train customer maintenance personnel on system operations.
Assess the feasibility and costs related to system modifications and complaints.
Test and optimize interfaces between products and subsystems.
What are we looking for?
Degree in electrical or automation technology or equivalent experience as a recognized technician in automation technology.
Proven experience as a Controls/PLC engineer or similar role.
Knowledge of PLC controls (Siemens S7, Step7, TIA portal) and bus systems (Profibus, Profinet).
Knowledge of electrical drive technology and frequency inverters for controlled motors and servo drives (Siemens, SEW, Dunker).
Strong understanding of mechatronics and the ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
Excellent team player with a customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills.
Proficiency in both German and English.
Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally about 50% of the time.
