Job summary

Atlas Copco IAS GmbH in Bretten seeks a Finance Excellence & Process Development professional to optimize finance and controlling processes and advance SAP and Polaris systems. You will standardize reporting, implement governance standards, and drive automation while collaborating with Operations, IT, Accounting, and other departments.

The role reports to the Business Controller for PC & CC and will progressively take on more responsibility in operational controlling and monthly closing,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, controlling, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in controlling, finance, or accounting
  • Very good understanding of finance, controlling, and reporting processes
  • Experience with SAP (FI/CO); knowledge of Polaris, SAP BW, or comparable BI systems is a plus
  • Very good Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • High degree of initiative and a passion for critically evaluating existing processes and making sustainable improvements
  • Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to bring together different perspectives and develop solutions collaboratively
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills when interacting with various stakeholders
  • Excellent command of German and English

Responsibilities

  • Analysis, optimization, and standardization of finance and controlling processes
  • Further development of SAP, Polaris, and reporting structures
  • Definition and implementation of governance and reporting standards
  • Automation and digitization of finance processes
  • Close collaboration with Operations, IT, Accounting, and other departments
  • Support in the further development of reporting, analysis, and management tools
  • SAP key user for finance and controlling topics
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Preparation of management reports, key performance indicators, and ad hoc analyses
  • Support and coordination of budget, forecast, and business plan processes
  • Manufacturing and cost controlling, including production order settlements and variance analyses
  • Support for internal and external audits
  • Identification of risks and opportunities and derivation of corresponding recommendations for action

Together with the Business Controller for PC & CC, you’ll work on optimizing our processes, systems, and reporting structures, and help to continuously improve transparency, efficiency, and data quality. At the same time, you’ll gradually take on more responsibility in operational controlling and monthly closing.

Finance Excellence & Process Development

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Preparation of management reports, key performance indicators, and ad hoc analyses
  • Support and coordination of budget, forecast, and business plan processes
  • Manufacturing and cost controlling, including production order settlements and variance analyses
  • Support with investment analyses and business cases
  • Support for internal and external audits
  • Identification of risks and opportunities and derivation of corresponding recommendations for action

You will report directly to the Business Controller for PC & CC and work closely with him or her on the further development of finance processes, reporting, planning, and business steering. Step by step, you will become a key point of contact for finance, reporting, and controlling matters within the organization. This position does not involve any disciplinary management responsibilities.
