Job Description

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be part of our controlling and FP&A department, working with C-Level executives and department heads. Your responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and improving processes and tools to support decision-making for our technology teams, analyzing business drivers and trends, reflecting these in financial planning, and providing insights to business owners. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial success of an innovative company.

This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite in Bruchsal.

Your mission during this flight:

• Be a sparring partner for C-Level, Directors, and department heads (CTO, COO)
• Implement automated, scalable, and analytical reports for data-driven decision-making
• Execute budget and forecasting processes across all functions, including performance reviews
• Ensure system and process maturity, standardization, and continuous improvement
• Maintain project structure data in financial systems and project accounting
• Participate in capacity planning
• Work cross-functionally with other finance partners to establish total cost of ownership
• Support investment and optimization decisions (make or buy)
• Contribute to financial closures (monthly, quarterly, yearly)

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

• Strong background in R&D or production controlling, ideally in aviation, automotive, space tech, or biotech industries, with 5+ years of experience
• Experience in fast-paced environments like startups or scale-ups; controlling in a matrix framework is desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams
• Experience with modern digital FP&A technologies
• Basic IFRS accounting knowledge to connect financial statements and project accounting
• Degree in finance, controlling, FP&A, or related fields; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
• Fluent in English; German skills are desirable
