About This Role

The Contracts Manager will be a vital part of Audible’s European legal team, handling a broad scope of responsibilities including contract advice, process improvements, training, and more. You will collaborate with qualified lawyers, deal makers, and various business teams on diverse projects.

We seek candidates who are customer-focused, enjoy challenges, work independently, and provide pragmatic advice in ambiguous situations.

This role is initially offered as an 18-month contract.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements with marketing agencies, production studios, talent agents, non-profits, and others.
  • Advising on new product launches, consumer and marketing law, and business development opportunities.
  • Coordinating with various internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining or developing standard contract forms, policies, and processes.
  • Supporting team administration and other projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years in contracts management, paralegal work, or similar, including leading negotiations and drafting contracts.
  • Business fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a legal department within digital media, consumer, or content sectors.
  • Ability to innovate and improve legal and contracting processes.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and computer skills.
  • Legal qualification at bachelor or graduate level (including UK SQE) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in an additional European language (German, French, Spanish, Italian preferred).
