Job summary

Thomann GmbH sucht eine/n Content Translator (m/f/d) für Schwedisch, um Kunden die Sprache der Musik näherzubringen. Sie übersetzen Thomann-Artikeltexte ins Schwedische, Korrigieren Übersetzungen und arbeiten an Standards im Übersetzungsprozess.

Sie bringen mehrjährige Übersetzungserfahrung, Deutsch und Schwedisch auf C1-Niveau sowie eigenständiges Arbeiten mit. Englischkenntnisse und CAT-Tools sind von Vorteil. Hybrides Arbeiten möglich, Hauptaufenthalt in Treppendorf.

Qualifications

• Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Übersetzungsbereich und solides Textverständnis.
• Deutsch und Schwedisch mindestens C1.
• Selbstständige und eigenverantwortliche Arbeitsweise.
• Grundkenntnisse der Produktkategorien im Musikinstrumentensektor.
• Idealerweise Englischkenntnisse und Erfahrung im Arbeiten mit CAT-Tools.

Responsibilities

• Übersetzung von Thomann-Artikeltexten, Rich Content und weiteren Texten ins Schwedische.
• Korrekturlesen und Lokalisierung schwedischer Übersetzungen.
• Mitwirkung bei Erstellung und Optimierung von Übersetzungs- und Prozessstandards.
• Aufgabenkoordination in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Übersetzungsteams.
• Eigenständige Zusammenarbeit mit Marketing- und Produktmanagement-Abteilungen.
• Hybrides Home-Office mit Hauptanwesenheit in Treppendorf.

Musicians come to Thomann for one thing above all: Inspiration. And as a Content Translator (m/f/d) for Swedish, you will play a decisive role in helping our customers to find it. With your skills and commitment, we can inspire and enable even more people to speak music.

Your tasks

We inspire and enable people to speak music, everywhere. And that's what we want with you. Your tasks are as challenging as they are varying:

• You are responsible for the translation of Thomann article texts, rich content, and other texts for the Thomann online shop from German to Swedish
• You are responsible for the proofreading and correction of Swedish translations and for their localisation for the Swedish market
• You are jointly responsible for the creation and optimisation of our translation and process standards
• You coordinate tasks in cooperation with other translation teams
• You work independently with colleagues from the Marketing and Product Management departments
• Hybrid home office option with main presence in Treppendorf

Your profile

• You have several years of professional experience in the field of translation and can demonstrate a full and convincing understanding of written texts
• You speak German and Swedish to at least C1 level
• You display an independent and self-reliant way of working
• You possess a fundamental knowledge of the product categories commonly found in the musical instrument sector
• You ideally also speak fluent English and have prior experience of working with CAT tools
