As a Consulting Solution Area Specialist (Specialist Seller for Azure), you will have the opportunity to accelerate your career growth and grow your solution area expertise by driving digital technology transformation deals in partnership with our Automotive Sector customers to achieve Microsoft and customer business outcomes. You will lead the consulting sales pursuit team for Azure solution opportunities leveraging the larger, multi-functional Industry Solutions Organization across the breadth of the Microsoft Azure solutions and Industry portfolio. This role also offers the opportunity to build and maintain relationships with customers, influence cloud strategy, and act as a trusted advisor engaging with CXO-level business and technology decision makers.

Responsibilities

The Microsoft Industry Solutions Consulting Solution Area Specialist is responsible for:

  • Role modeling and demonstrating customer and partner obsession through customer business outcomes leveraging solution area expertise.
  • Creating “buy-in” vision with key decision makers by building executive relationships to generate excitement around Microsoft Industry Solutions’ value and influence cloud strategic direction.
  • Building business cases and leading deals that require orchestration of virtual teams to develop customer proposals. Leveraging available programs and offers to substantiate solution value, close deals, and displace competitors.
  • Providing impactful points of view (POV) to accelerate consumption aligned with solution area expertise within account planning cycles.
  • Driving cloud growth by working seamlessly with the wider account team, building and strengthening relationships across Microsoft teams to promote consumption through Microsoft Industry Solutions projects and programs.
  • Championing and adhering to Microsoft processes and methodologies for strategy selling, pipeline management, opportunity ownership (revenue and consumption), continuous qualification, opportunity reviews, and close plan accountability.
  • Continuously developing sales expertise, industry and solution knowledge, and investing in personal growth to better support customers and the broader Microsoft team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in solution sales with subject matter expertise in Data & AI, Cloud Applications, Microsoft Azure Cloud platform, or other public cloud platforms, including IaaS and PaaS, and their business impacts.
  • Solution or portfolio management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Fluency in German and English, capable of effective communication in professional settings in both languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategic solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple deals simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings and industry events.

Additional Qualifications

  • Industry sales experience in the Automotive sector or related services.
  • Deep understanding of consulting, advisory, and sales methodologies.
