Job Description
These tasks await you:
- Reviewing and validating the completeness and consistency of regular reporting, including main financials as well as notes positions, of our international group companies.
- Preparation of financial and annual reports of the group.
- Advising and supporting our group companies on reporting and accounting issues.
- Staying up-to-date on international and national accounting standards, and modifying internal guidelines accordingly.
- Initiating and monitoring consolidation processes in SAP BCS.
- Participating in special projects, e.g., Spin-off Automotive Sector.
- Ensuring compliance with and implementation of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in the reporting of the Continental Group (and reporting units).
Qualifications
- Completed studies in economics with a focus on finance and accounting.
- Professional experience at an auditing firm or in the finance and accounting department of a publicly-listed company.
- Strong international accounting knowledge (IFRS).
- Several years of experience with consolidation processes in SAP BCS, Group Reporting or similar systems.
- Expert use of MS Office programs, especially Excel.
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English and German; further foreign language skills are desirable.
- Strong interaction and communication skills.
- High commitment, self-motivation, flexibility, and ability to work in a team.
