Position Overview : Airswift is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our client’s team, a well-renowned partner in EPCM, for an oil and gas construction project in Gelsenkirchen. The Superintendent will ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and the client's safety and quality guidelines. You will manage the entire construction project lifecycle, from tendering and awarding contracts to subcontractors to handing over the keys to the client, while coordinating, supervising, and monitoring all project activities.

Key Responsibilities : As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for :

• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety and the client's safety and quality guidelines.
• Professionally executing complete construction projects on the site, including tendering, awarding contracts, and handing over to clients.
• Supporting the client's engineering departments during the construction phase preparation, participating in assembly studies, feasibility studies, and preparing cost estimates.
• Planning the construction phase, contributing to assembly schedule preparation, and regularly monitoring project progress.
• Independently managing and coordinating all on-site activities, including measurement, cost calculation, budget planning, cost control, reporting, and invoicing.
• Planning, controlling, and monitoring personnel deployment to achieve targets in safety, quality, deadlines, and costs.
• Preparing monthly reports on safety, quality, deadlines, and costs.
• Ensuring contract-compliant processing, claims management, and change management.
• Accepting services and documentation, including as-built documentation.
• Managing construction site preparation and execution.
• Providing advice on constructability reviews and defining the assembly concept.
• Organizing materials management and coordinating in accordance with the Construction Site Ordinance and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Conducting assembly meetings and verifying execution documents.
• Creating documents for work permits, approvals, and acceptances.
• Defining and maintaining schedules for the assembly process and handing over the assembly documentation to the client.
• Acting as a mentor and trainer for less experienced employees.
• Supporting business development and procurement in meetings with clients and suppliers.
• Driving a construction and commissioning oriented project strategy.
• Reviewing weekly project progress and reporting according to the construction execution plan.
• Organizing work according to the construction execution plan and preparing quotations.

Qualifications :

• Completed studies in a relevant technical field.
• Several years of professional experience in construction management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in German (minimum B2 level) and English.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and quality guidelines.
• Experience with budget planning, cost control, and reporting.
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
• Proactive approach to managing construction site activities and personnel.

Work Environment : This position requires daily on-site presence at construction sites in Gelsenkirchen, ensuring effective management and coordination of all construction activities. You will work closely with the client’s engineering departments, subcontractors, and various project stakeholders.
