Forte Renewables is a global renewable energy consulting firm specializing in the technologies of wind, solar PV and BESS. Our mission is to be an industry leader by providing best-in-class services tailored to the complex and diverse needs of our clients to ensure they achieve their project goals. Since its founding in 2012, Forte has completed projects in 30 countries on 5 continents with our main offices in Amsterdam and Warsaw supported by other regional satellite offices.
We are currently looking for a candidate to join our team for the position of Construction Project Engineer to oversee three projects in Eastern Germany (near Prenzlau, Pasewalk and Penkun). All three wind farms are located relatively close to one another, within a radius of approximately 30 km.
The position is suitable for candidates based either in Eastern Germany or across the border in Poland, provided they are located within reasonable travelling distance of the project sites. The Site Engineer will visit each project site approximately once a week, and the remainder of the working week can be performed remotely.
The role will be to act as Technical Advisor to the client purchasing the three projects. The Site Engineer will monitor the activities carried out by the vendor's project management team and EPC contractors, providing independent technical oversight on behalf of the client. This is a technical advisor role focused on assessing the performance of the vendor in managing quality on the sites, with interaction mostly with the vendor (and minimal involvement with contractors), rather than a traditional Owner's Engineer position with direct responsibility for QHSE or project management and direct regular interaction with contractors.
The Project Engineer will be the professional responsible for overseeing and monitoring on-site construction activities throughout the execution of wind farm projects on behalf of Forte Renewables. They will ensure that all construction works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved designs, contractual requirements, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements. Working as the Purchasers representative on site, the Project Engineer will coordinate with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders to monitor progress, quality, and compliance while identifying and resolving technical issues during construction. Their work ensures that wind farm projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance, supporting the successful completion of projects on schedule and within budget.
