Role Overview :
The Site Coordinator is responsible for ensuring contractors execute tasks efficiently, safely, and in an organized manner. This role involves coordinating with contractors before site visits, reviewing work plans, ensuring permit compliance, and managing site activities to minimize downtime, increase efficiency, and meet deadlines. Support will be provided remotely by a center of excellence with specialized resources for technical and project management support.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead on-site construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and project alignment.
- Promote a safety culture by integrating HSSE standards into all activities.
- Manage contractor interfaces, monitor performance, and coordinate meetings.
- Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring schedule and safety compliance.
- Assist in project planning and coordination with project engineers and managers.
- Coordinate design communications and work package development.
- Oversee contractor performance, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contractual obligations.
- Contribute to procurement strategies through scope and technical evaluations.
- Monitor project KPIs related to schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
- Facilitate meetings, reviews, and planning sessions.
- Ensure all permits and readiness activities are completed before mobilization.
- Coordinate technical queries and interface with engineering teams.
- Support commissioning and handover processes, including punch list management and documentation.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
- Manage permit-to-work processes and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with client operations to align construction with operational needs.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and promote best practices.
Required skills & experience :
- 10–15 years of experience in construction supervision, asset management, or related fields.
- Trades qualification and/or engineering degree.
- Leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration and morale.
- Strong HSSE awareness and leadership.
- Deep understanding of project lifecycle, planning, and quality delivery.
- Familiarity with contracting and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in document control and technical review.
- Experience with commissioning, pre-start-up, and handover documentation.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), intermediate in German.
