We ARE Renewables in Germany near the Danish border is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor for a large-scale industrial project in Niebüll. The freelance, 6-month assignment requires on-site leadership, coordination of multiple contractors, and strict adherence to schedule, budget, quality, and HSE standards.

You will liaise with the project team, manage engineering documentation, and ensure compliance with German laws and regulations.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience as Project Engineer, Construction Engineer or similar in industrial projects.
• Multidisciplinary project engineering experience.
• Knowledge of German laws and regulations for construction/industry.
• German language required; Dutch helpful.

We ARE Renewables is looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor for a large-scale construction project in Niebüll, Germany. The expected duration is approximately 6 months, with the possibility of an extension based on performance.

As part of the site construction team, you will be responsible for the daily management and coordination of all construction activities on site. You will ensure that the project is executed in accordance with the schedule, budget, quality standards, and HSE requirements, and you will act as the link between contractors, the project organization, and the client.

Due to the project location, a good command of the German language is essential. In addition, you have extensive knowledge of German laws and regulations applicable to industrial construction projects.

Your Role:

As a Construction Supervisor, you will be part of the on-site project team and will have overall responsibility for managing the construction team during the execution phase of the project.

You will supervise the activities on a daily basis, coordinate the various contractors, and ensure that the agreed project objectives are achieved. In addition to operational management, a significant part of your role will focus on stakeholder management, change management, and ensuring safety and quality on the construction site.

Tasks & responsibilities

In this role, you will combine technical expertise, coordination, and stakeholder management. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the construction team during the execution of industrial projects
• Preparing and developing scope descriptions for project activities
• Coordinating engineering and construction activities on site
• Preparing and monitoring project schedules
• Coordinating with the production organization regarding piping-related activities
• Ensuring the availability and quality of engineering documentation
• Supporting and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities within the project
• Identifying and resolving technical and organizational issues
• Maintaining contact with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Reporting on progress, risks, and project results to project management
• Identifying and managing risks, deviations, and changes within the project

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and managing P&IDs, piping layouts, E&I documentation, and civil engineering documents
• Coordinating technical alignment between engineering, construction, and production
• Supporting technical issues and construction challenges on site
• Translating project requirements into practical and executable technical solutions
• Monitoring project progress, quality, and schedule
• Applying German laws and regulations within the project
• Ensuring clear and effective communication with all parties involved

In addition, you have:

• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field
• Extensive experience as a Project Engineer, Construction Engineer, or in a similar role within industrial projects
• Demonstrable experience with multidisciplinary project engineering
• Experience with construction projects in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of piping, civil engineering, and E&I-related activities
• Experience in preparing and managing technical documentation, including P&IDs, piping layouts, E&I documentation, and civil engineering documents
• Knowledge of German laws and regulations applicable to construction and industrial projects
• Good command of both Dutch and German, spoken and written
• Strong organizational and coordination skills
• The ability to work effectively with different disciplines and stakeholders
• Experience working on project sites and as part of multidisciplinary teams

Contract: Freelance

Duration: 6 months, with the option to extend

24 hours per week
