You will work with the Native Computing team to develop new architectures for Photonic Computing.
Develop concepts and ideas for the photonic computing architecture
In particular, take responsibility for the software side of the architecture
Conduct literature reviews; understand and evaluate existing computing concepts and architectures
Focus on the creative but physical aspect of the problem. Not on the engineering aspects of applications and software.
Your profile
Very good understanding and extensive experience with modern AI software stacks, their underlying models and assumptions and associated hardware requirements
At least a PhD on a relevant topic or work experience (post-doc, in a company, other R&D)
Experience with concepts and designs of computing cores in CMOS or equivalent AND/OR good understanding of integrated photonic and nonlinear/electro-optical optics
Quick thinking and creativity
Knowledge of relevant work and literature
Open to discussions, especially with experts in theory, software, and applications
A strong network in academia and beyond is a plus
Experience with analog circuit design is a plus
