Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Go (Golang) and Python.
• Solid experience with OpenStack in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of Linux virtualization, including KVM, QEMU, and libvirt.
• Hands-on experience operating infrastructure at scale with a focus on reliability and automation.
• Comfortable working close to the metal, with kernel behavior and hypervisor internals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for STACKIT's compute products.
• Contribute upstream to open source projects such as OpenStack and YAOOK.
• Optimize virtual machine performance, including live migration.
• Introduce new generations of machine types and extend the compute product portfolio.

Your tasks

• Develop and maintain features for STACKIT's compute products, covering generic server capabilities, GPU servers, and confidential computing
• Contribute upstream to open source projects such as OpenStack and YAOOK, and modify virtualization technology where needed to enable product features
• Optimize virtual machine performance, including live migration
• Introduce new generations of machine types and extend the compute product portfolio
• Evaluate and integrate GPU and confidential computing technologies
