Compensation & Benefits Manager

Job Summary/Role:

In an international, project-driven, and truly startup environment, you will lead the design and implementation of compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data-driven benefits structures that enhance organizational competitiveness and effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Design, optimize, and implement compensation and benefits programs aligned with organizational goals and market trends.
  2. Conduct comprehensive pay plan analysis, market research, and surveys to ensure competitiveness and equity.
  3. Develop salary structure adjustments based on data monitoring and market analysis.
  4. Partner with internal stakeholders, including HR, finance, and leadership, to execute compensation and benefits strategies effectively.
  5. Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as vendors and consultants, to leverage expertise and resources as needed.
  6. Design and implement procedures for administering compensation and benefits programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  7. Develop and execute retention programs and incentives to attract and retain top talent.
  8. Design severance packages and lead exit interviews to ensure smooth transitions for departing employees.
Job Qualifications

Qualifications and Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  2. At least 10 years of work experience in compensation-related roles.

Additional qualities include:

  1. Passion for compensation and benefits topics.
  2. Familiarity with EU/Germany federal employment regulations and the talent market, especially in high-growth sectors like semiconductor manufacturing and engineering.
  3. Deep understanding of compensation principles, including job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and pay plan analysis.
  4. Experience with benefits administration, including healthcare, retirement plans, and employee perks.
  5. Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
  6. Experience in system implementation, tools, policies, and project management.

Languages skills:

  1. Excellent German and English skills.
  2. Additional languages, especially Mandarin, are a plus.
