Zusammenfassung

A leading energy technology company in Berlin is seeking a Commodity Management professional for Acoustics. You will serve as the strategic procurement owner for Acoustic components, leading cross-functional teams to drive innovation and cost-saving strategies. Ideal candidates have a relevant degree and experience in procurement with a global perspective, alongside strong commercial and technical acumen. A Snapshot of Your Day

As Commodity Management for Acoustics, you start your day by aligning with members of your global Acoustics team on strategic priorities. You are the procurement owner for Acoustic components within Gas Services, which are complex systems in terms of size and application range. You are driving the development and execution of resilient ecosystem strategies that support Siemens Energy’s global objectives.

You lead cross-functional collaboration with Cost Value Engineering, Supplier Quality, and R&D to ensure that sourcing decisions are technically sound, cost-effective, and future-proof. Your focus is on delivering growth, resilience, and cost‑out through supplier innovation, strategic negotiations, proactive risk management and balancing load with the supplier network.

Throughout the day, you engage with global stakeholders to refine commodity strategies and to ensure their implementation as well as manage supplier relationships to leverage long‑term value creation. You bring deep market insights that go beyond procurement—translating them into tangible impact for the Execution Unit Gas Services Central and Distributed.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Lead and develop your Commodity Circle team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability aligned with Siemens Energy’s strategic goals.
  • Act as the strategic procurement owner for Acoustic components within the Acoustics commodity, define a global procurement strategy and align with Execution Unit objectives.
  • Design and implement resilient ecosystem strategies with your team that support business targets for growth, resilience, and cost‑out, while ensuring supplier innovation and sustainability; Build and maintain a competitive, reliable, and sustainable supplier base. Drive supplier performance through quality management, development programs, and strategic partnerships.
  • Work closely with Cost Value Engineering, R&D, Supplier Quality, and other functions to integrate procurement strategies into product development and operational planning.
  • Lead cost‑out initiatives through Design‑to‑Cost (DtC) and Should‑Cost modeling. Ensure procurement contributes to margin improvement and lifecycle value; Provide deep supply market insights beyond traditional procurement perspectives. Identify emerging trends, technologies, and risks to support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, legal requirements, and sustainability standards. Champion transparency and ethical sourcing practices across the supply chain.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field and experience in procurement with a proven track record, ideally in a global organization.
  • Strong commercial and technical understanding, including knowledge of procurement, project management, and international contract law.
  • Experience in cross‑functional areas such as Manufacturing, R&D, or Supplier Quality; Background in multinational Procurement or Supply Chain functions.
  • Demonstrated strategy and project management skills.
  • Fluent English and German language skills.
  • Experience managing international locations and procurement teams; Willingness to travel.
