Job summary

moveatech Limited seeks Commissioning Engineers or Commissioning Technicians to support advanced automation projects across Germany, Europe and the USA. You will combine mechanical and electrical expertise with PLC fault-finding to bring machinery to life and ensure customer satisfaction.

Based in Germany, you will travel within Europe and to the USA, perform commissioning, FAT/SAT, and provide training and on-site support. Fluency in English is required, and a valid passport is essential.

• Strong mix of mechanical and electrical hands-on skills.
• Good English for customer communication and reporting.

Responsibilities

Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Technician (m/f/d)

Are you a hands on engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working directly with customers and bringing special purpose machinery to life? We are looking for Commissioning Engineers or Commissioning Technicians to join a growing team supporting advanced automation projects across Germany, Europe and the USA.

The opportunity

You will work on sophisticated machinery and automation systems for external customers, combining mechanical and electrical expertise with PLC based fault-finding and customer support.

What you’ll do

• Carry out mechanical and electrical commissioning of special-purpose machinery and automation systems.
• Support installation, FAT and SAT activities, and final customer acceptance.
• Diagnose faults on PLC-controlled systems and make adjustments to control software.
• Provide service, maintenance and repair support, including occasional short-notice assignments.
• Train customer operating and maintenance teams.
• Prepare clear commissioning and service reports, mainly in English.

What we’re looking for

• A practical mix of mechanical and electrical skills, with strong problem-solving ability.
• Experience in commissioning, field service or PLC programming
• Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal/S7 and/or Rockwell Studio 5000, with solid PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Good English for customer communication and technical reporting.
• Full willingness to travel, including assignments in the USA.
• Driving licence and a valid passport.

Travel and location

The business is based in Germany, but you may live anywhere in Germany. You should be comfortable travelling Monday to Friday within Germany, spending approximately two to four weeks on European assignments and, where required, six to eight weeks on assignments in the USA.
