Overview

Commercial Sales Specialist – Storage & Data Services (f/m/d). This role is designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description

Data Services and the underlying Storage Solutions are a key investment area for HPE. Over the past years we have invested significantly into R&D and acquisitions for new technologies enabling a software-driven, cloud-operated portfolio based on modern cloud-native platforms and integrated cloud-enabled Data Services. Our portfolio doesn’t stop in the Data Center but provides hybrid solutions that span from Edge to Cloud.

Responsibilities
  • Position the HPE Storage product, data services and solution portfolio working on selected Commercial accounts in Northern Germany.
  • Expand existing and develop new long-term customer and channel partner relationships.
  • Focus on business outcomes for our customers, leveraging GreenLake Offerings and our Private Cloud and AI portfolio.
  • Identify and engage customers seeking scalable and secure private cloud solutions using HPE Private Cloud Business Edition (PCBE). Position PCBE as the ideal solution for digital transformation while maintaining control over data and infrastructure.
  • Drive adoption of HPE VM Essentials by showcasing its ability to optimize workloads and simplify virtualization for small and medium-sized businesses, highlighting its cost-effectiveness and seamless integration.
  • Promote Zerto’s portfolio for data protection and disaster recovery, emphasizing near-zero RTO and RPO. Help customers safeguard critical workloads and ensure business continuity.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the end customer’s business drivers to implement customer requirements in a sustainable HPE business through a comprehensive consulting approach at all levels of the customer organization.
  • Lead projects over the entire lifecycle from initial contact, PoCs, tender preparation and response, negotiations to contract closure as a lead, and manage contracts across the lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Digital Sales, Sales Support, Presales, the GreenLake team, Zerto Sales, the Hybrid Solutions Group and the Storage Category.
Requirements / What You Bring
  • Academic degree in business administration or similar
  • +5 years of sales experience with complex IT solutions
  • Profound knowledge of the storage and data services market
  • Ability to take the sales responsibility for storage, data services, PCBE, and VME opportunities
  • Sales excellence in building a sales pipeline, forecasting and customer management
  • Desire to develop deep knowledge of our products and solutions with differentiation from the competition
  • Strong customer orientation and consulting skills with assertiveness and sales attitude
  • Team- and goal-oriented work
  • Creativity, initiative and reliability
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and closing skills
  • Business fluency in German and English
