Role Overview

As a Commercial Sales Specialist, you will act as a trusted advisor to determine how commercial licensing and contracting should be tailored to meet customer needs. You will leverage your understanding of sales metrics (e.g., pipeline metrics, closed rates, competitive selling) to establish a strategic sales execution cadence. Your role involves developing customer-centric offers by engaging with and aligning account teams around deals, ensuring Win/Win compliant deal-making while creating commercial solutions.

Responsibilities
  1. Support various sellers to achieve revenue targets and collaborate with business stakeholders and teams. Develop an understanding of critical resources and resource usage to drive business outcomes.
  2. Propose solutions and seek feedback from peers and managers on adjusting commercial licensing approaches to meet customer needs.
  3. Contribute to developing commercial proposals, understanding industry trends, and conducting competitive analysis to craft effective commercial solutions during early engagement, planning, and ideation.
  4. Review customer commercial history, including discounts, concessions, and consumption, and identify upcoming renewals.
  5. Ensure adherence to volume licensing policies, local laws, and company policies during deal execution, maintaining compliance with Microsoft policies (e.g., anti-corruption).
  6. Analyze deals for risks related to contract growth, partner channels, profitability, legal issues, and contracting, leveraging corporate and local resources.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, IT, Law, Marketing, Finance, Communication, Education, or related field
  • Sales and negotiation experience
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Legally authorized to work in Germany (citizenship, valid visa, or work permit)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree (or pursuing) in Business Management, IT, Law, Marketing, or related field, with sales and negotiation experience or similar work background.
