Fiorilli Construction, Inc. is searching for an attentive team player and strategic problem solver to join our Cleveland, OH team as a full-time Commercial Project and Safety Coordinator. You\'ll work closely with project management professionals to ensure our commercial construction jobs go off without a hitch.

You work for 8.5 hours per day Monday through Thursday with a half-day every other Friday. Some travel, evening work, and out-of-town jobs will be required.

Commercial Project and Safety Coordinator Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in professional large-scale commercial construction environments
  • Proficiency with cutting-edge construction technology
  • Ability to evaluate job plans, assess risks, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with coworkers, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

A bachelor\'s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field would be for this project management role.

Day-to-Day

The Commercial Project and Safety Coordinator works with project management staff and site superintendents to ensure all aspects of the job align with our quality standards, client expectations, and established timelines and budgets. Here\'s a closer look at your responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and manage daily reports, safety documentation, blueprints, 2-week lookahead schedules, material supply lists, punch lists, and other essential project documents.
  • Oversee daily jobsite activities, delegate tasks, and direct subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely progress, budget compliance, and high-quality results.
  • Create cost estimates, determine material needs based on project scope, and coordinate with vendors to schedule timely deliveries and inspections throughout each phase.
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized jobsite by leading weekly coordination and safety meetings, conducting thorough site inspections, and immediately addressing hazards or compliance issues.
  • Accurately interpret project plans and specs, identify potential delays, and adjust schedules as needed to stay ahead of issues and meet project deadlines.
  • Foster strong, authentic relationships with clients, coworkers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with our values and to build a reliable professional network.
  • Solve problems in real time with a practical, team-focused approach - minimizing disruptions and keeping projects moving forward efficiently.
  • Occasionally self-perform journeyman-level trade work, including carpentry, framing, drywall, finishes, and general labor, depending on project needs.
