Job Description

About the role

This is a newly established role, reporting directly to the CCO and working closely with the Commercial Director. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for Kyoto Group’s business development and commercialisation activities in Germany, with a focus on scaling our Heatcube offering within key industries.

This role is based at our new office in Düsseldorf, Germany. Regular travel is required to engage with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders across regions.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify relevant companies in target industries and key decision-makers.
  • Generate demand and position Kyoto’s Heatcube as a leading thermal energy solution.
  • Build and manage a robust commercial pipeline to support Kyoto’s growth in Germany.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships with targeted accounts.
  • Lead the preparation and timely submission of competitive bids and proposals.

Required skills & experience

  • University or college degree in a commercial or relevant technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in roles such as Sales Manager or Business Development Manager.
  • Proven track record in complex B2B sales processes.
  • Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
  • Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and professional presentation development.
  • Self-starter with strong commercial instincts and a hunter mentality.
  • Customer-centric, results-driven, and strategically minded.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to operate independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic commercial environment.
