A life sciences company is seeking a Business Analyst to spearhead initiatives in business systems and commercial excellence. The successful candidate will analyze sales data, develop dashboards, and engage with management on strategic decisions. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in business analytics, along with skills in data analytics tools like Power BI, are required. Spearhead the Eppendorf Business Systems (EBS) and Commercial Excellence initiatives for the Americas Market Region, including Kaizen, PSP, and other lean management tools
Conduct a thorough analysis of data across the entire sales organization, including leads, opportunities, quotes, and revenue, to generate actionable insights strengthening sales operations
Provide market research data to include Executive Management, Sales, Marketing, Service, and Channel, enabling continuous evaluation of industry health and the identification of business development opportunities
Utilize predictive analytics techniques, such as machine learning and predictive modeling, to forecast sales trends and identify potential opportunities and risks
Assist in sales operations projects aimed at increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales organization
Collaborate actively with Controlling, Regional and Global Marketing as well as global Corporate Development to ensure cohesive strategies and initiatives
Engage with key stakeholders that include Executive Management, Sales, Marketing, Service, and Channel to understand their data needs and provide tailored insights that support strategic decision-making
You translate data from Controlling, Marketing and Sales into actionable insights
Perform detailed analysis using statistical methods to identify trends and patterns
Present findings in a clear and actionable format through reports and presentations
Regularly update sales leadership on changes in market dynamics and competitive landscape
Identify areas of inefficiency within sales processes and propose data-driven solutions
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that effectively communicate business insights and trends to stakeholders at various levels
20% travel requirement within the Market Region and Internationally (e.g., customer visits, conferences, tradeshows, HQ meetings)
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university with a business degree
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business analytics, market intelligence or similar function
Life Science Industry experience
Data Analytics experience
Strong knowledge of market analysis/strategy development tools and methods
Proficient with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) and Data Visualization tools
Compensation: $110k - $130k annual salary range
