Job Description

We are currently seeking a Commercial Contract Manager (x|f|m) for the Commercial Excellence Team in the BPS division based in Göttingen (Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH). In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the sales organization with reviewing and responding to revisions to commercial terms in defined sales contracts. These contracts will include framework agreements, MSAs, service agreements, supply agreements, general terms & conditions, and term sheets. You will also serve as the interface to Sartorius Legal Affairs & Compliance to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Commercial Contract Manager will ensure adherence to contractual obligations and manage the setup, revision, and documentation within the defined process.

Responsibilities
  1. Be a contractual interface, review sales-related contracts and tenders, and provide commercial feedback to ensure adherence to Sartorius policies and strategies.
  2. Represent and support the sales team during negotiations with external parties, collaborating with Legal Affairs & Compliance as needed.
  3. Coordinate contract and tender execution strategies across regions.
  4. Monitor the performance of signed contracts and challenge unfavorable clauses.
  5. Provide training to internal stakeholders for pre-review of commercial contracts.
  6. Support the development of digital contract management processes within the CRM system to ensure transparency.
  7. Promote a customer-oriented and quality-focused work environment fostering learning, communication, and teamwork.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in law, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Several years of professional experience in contract management; a paralegal background is a plus.
  • Sales experience within the Life Sciences industry is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess risks and implications of complex contracts.
  • Proficiency in project coordination and process optimization, especially digital tools.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages is an advantage.
