Job Description

This role is an essential position in our Commercial Centre of Competence. You will work directly with interdisciplinary teams on exciting strategic projects and analyses, evaluate our projects and identify commercial optimisation potential.

• Create business cases, profitability calculations, cash flow analyses and scenarios to support investment decisions.
• Collect and prepare project data in close collaboration with project managers and other departments such as our finance team.
• Transfer existing valuation approaches to new markets and technologies.
• Create presentations that communicate strategic narratives and scenario trade-offs for decision-making processes (e.g., SteerCo, Stage-Gate).
• Analyse and benchmark projects and support negotiations with partners and customers from a commercial perspective.
• Develop and maintain financial valuation models and integrate them into internal and external databases.

Qualifications

• Degree in economics (business administration, economics) or engineering with sound economic knowledge.
• Approximately 2 years of professional experience, ideally in the renewable energy sector.
• Sound knowledge of valuation methods, particularly discounted cash flow (DCF) and profitability calculations.
• Experience in automating analyses through programming (e.g., Excel, R, or other languages) is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of renewable energy business models and the relevant regulatory and political framework.
• Business fluency in written and spoken English.
