The Green Recruitment Company in Germany is seeking an Analyst to join its Commercial & Project Development team. The role is hands-on, with focus on financial modelling, deal analysis and commercial strategy for renewable energy projects.

You will work with senior teams on live PV, M&A and project structures, with room to grow into owning your own workstreams as you learn. Strong analytical ability and bilingual English/German are valued.

Qualifikationen

• 2–4 years' professional experience in M&A, transaction advisory, investment, renewable energy, project development, consulting, energy or a related field
• Strong financial modelling skills and confidence working with Excel
• Some exposure to M&A or transaction processes, ideally buy‑side or sell‑side
• Interest in renewable energy and commercial energy markets
• Ability to understand complex information, structure it clearly and turn it into useful analysis; proactive and quick learner
• Interest in AI, automation and improving team workflows
• Strong communication with stakeholders
• Good German and English

A growing renewable energy company is looking to add an Analyst to its Commercial & Project Development team.

This is a broad, hands‑on role for someone with a strong analytical background who wants to build experience across financial modelling, renewable energy projects, M&A and commercial strategy.

You don't need to be an expert across all of these areas already. The priority is someone who is smart, curious, commercially minded and technically strong, with the ability to learn quickly and take on more responsibility over time.

The Role

You will work closely with the senior Commercial team across live renewable energy projects and transactions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and developing financial and economic models for renewable energy projects and commercial opportunities
• Supporting the analysis of PV, BESS and hybrid project structures
• Supporting M&A and transaction processes, including analysis, documentation, due diligence and data-room activities
• Helping assess commercial opportunities from both the developer and customer perspective
• Supporting the evaluation and development of PPA and energy‑market opportunities, including emerging Direct‑Wire structures
• Preparing analysis and materials for internal decision-making and external discussions
• Helping improve internal processes, reporting and data structures
• Identifying opportunities to use AI and automation to make recurring processes more efficient
• Working closely with senior colleagues and external advisers across projects and transactions

The role is deliberately broad. You will initially provide analytical and execution support, with the opportunity to gradually take ownership of your own workstreams as your experience develops.

What We're Looking For

The most important thing is strong analytical and modelling ability.

You should have:

• 2–4 years' professional experience in M&A, transaction advisory, investment, renewable energy, project development, consulting, energy or a related field
• Strong financial modelling skills and confidence working with Excel
• Some previous exposure to M&A or transaction processes, ideally including buy‑side or sell‑side work
• A genuine interest in renewable energy and commercial energy markets
• The ability to understand complex information, structure it clearly and turn it into useful analysisA curious, proactive mindset and the willingness to learn areas outside your existing expertise
• An interest in AI, automation and improving the way teams work
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders
• Good German and English

A specific university degree is not essential. We are more interested in how you think, what you can build and how quickly you can learn.

You Don't Need To Have Done Everything

We are not looking for someone who already has deep expertise across project development, PPAs and M&A.

You might come from an M&A or transaction advisory background with strong modelling skills and want to move into renewable energy.

Equally, you might already have experience in renewable energy and be looking to develop your commercial and transaction skillset.

What matters most is that you have the analytical capability, curiosity and ambition to develop into a broader commercial professional.
