Our Team

Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.


Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.


The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe; the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing; and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany.


In the area of internal combustion engine development, you will work on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain. Your task is to develop maximum performance and efficiency of the engine in the sub-areas of combustion processes, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring reliability. You will perform development measures during the concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.


Your Mission

  • Develop a high-performance/high-efficiency combustion process for racing
  • Create an innovative injection/ignition system and turbocharging system
  • Conduct and analyze engine tests on single-cylinder, full engine, powertrain, and component test benches
  • Collaborate with fuel manufacturers to develop fuel
  • Perform highly dynamic calibration for engine, transmission, and MGU powertrain
Your Profile

  • Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or design engineering (Bachelor’s, master’s, Diplom, or Dr. Ing.)
  • Several years of experience in high-performance engine development, focusing on combustion processes and calibration
  • Deep knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, fuel development, and metrology
  • Broad expertise in designing and developing turbocharging, injection, and ignition systems
  • Experience operating single-cylinder, highly dynamic full engine, and powertrain test benches
  • Familiarity with test bench and racing evaluation tools (Inca, PUMA, Concerto, WinTax, etc.)
  • Knowledge of engine management systems
  • Experience with specialized component test benches (fuel, flow, spray, hot gas)
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Independent and structured working approach
  • Proficiency in German or English, with willingness to learn the other language
