ABOUT THE JOB

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team that enables cloud engineering skills and capabilities across TUI. You will use your collaboration skills to work with your team to deliver solutions that meet customer needs, shape engineering processes, promote quality, and ensure continuous improvement and technical excellence. You will contribute to delivering technical solutions within a Product team, ensuring correct engineering, addressing technical needs, and delivering changes across the IT stack using cloud technologies and automation, within agreed time and quality targets. You will focus on quality, documentation, and security.

Design and implement secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions, driving architecture, design, development, security, and operations. Improve expertise in cloud architectures, infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps, tooling, and automation. Understand coding standards, AWS technologies, and UI standards to ensure quality and consistency. Take proactive actions for quality and automation improvements.

You will have a proven record in delivering cloud enablement services, supporting teams in adopting AWS or other cloud platforms, focusing on provisioning, configuration, onboarding, security, FinOps, and training.

You should verbalize ideas clearly, take initiative, and support teams in researching, testing, and adopting new approaches and tools. Contribute to Communities of Practice, work independently, and support junior colleagues.

ABOUT YOU

• Experience with highly available, distributed cloud systems and services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle large, impactful work.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, solution architecture, infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps, and security practices.
• Ability to define and maintain standards for AWS resource management.
• Strong programming skills in Go and/or Python.
• Experience with infrastructure as code languages like Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g., Gitlab CI.
• Knowledge of networking technologies (IP, DNS, firewalling, load-balancing, VPNs).
• Associate or higher AWS certification.
• Customer-centric, passionate about digital products and services.
• Commitment to engineering craftsmanship and DevOps principles.
• Collaborative, continuous learner, comfortable with ambiguity and autonomy.
