SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Cloud Engineer to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Engineer and implement cloud operating environments for program users.
- Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software to meet program communications, business, scientific, and general computing applications to identify opportunities to leverage cloud operating platforms / capability.
- Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software & applications for transition to the cloud.
- Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Lead the planning, design, engineering, operation, maintenance, and defense of enterprise cloud-based products and services.
- Architect and oversee the administration and maintenance of cloud-based systems across complex, multi-enclave, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strategize and facilitate the adoption of cloud computing to achieve significant enhancements in interoperability, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
- Define and champion cloud architecture standards and best practices.
- Provide expert consultation on complex cloud solutions and challenges.
- Direct the troubleshooting and resolution of critical cloud infrastructure issues.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 14 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 16 years’ experience.
- An active Top Secret / SCI security clearance .
- DOD Cyber Work Role ID 628 Certs: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or CSSP or CompTIA Cloud+ or VCP6-CMA or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for document management and various administrative tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and organize materials for In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings.
- Experience producing metrics and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
- Proven administrative support experience, assisting contractor management with various tasks and projects.
- Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction .
- Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations .
- Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700 .
