SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Cloud Engineer to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).

  • Engineer and implement cloud operating environments for program users.
  • Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software to meet program communications, business, scientific, and general computing applications to identify opportunities to leverage cloud operating platforms / capability.
  • Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software & applications for transition to the cloud.
  • Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Lead the planning, design, engineering, operation, maintenance, and defense of enterprise cloud-based products and services.
  • Architect and oversee the administration and maintenance of cloud-based systems across complex, multi-enclave, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strategize and facilitate the adoption of cloud computing to achieve significant enhancements in interoperability, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
  • Define and champion cloud architecture standards and best practices.
  • Provide expert consultation on complex cloud solutions and challenges.
  • Direct the troubleshooting and resolution of critical cloud infrastructure issues.

  • Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction .
  • Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations .
  • Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700 .
