To strengthen our dynamic and global IT team, we are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer (m/f/d).

As a Cloud Engineer at REPA, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure - primarily on Microsoft Azure, while supporting multi-cloud and hybrid environments. You’ll collaborate with architecture, DevOps, security, and development teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance systems.

Location: Bergkirchen (Germany) / Cesena (Italy) | Full-time

Job Description

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, and potentially AWS/GCP, using best practices for security, availability, and performance
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
• Configure and maintain networking components including VNets, load balancers, and VPN gateways
• Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, Bitbucket pipelines
• Deploy and manage IaaS and PaaS services such as AKS, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, and Storage Accounts
• CDN management (Cloudflare, Amplience, etc.)
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (sumologic, prtg, Pingdom, Newrelic, …)
• Optimize cloud performance, cost, and security using tools like Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and Azure Policy
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across environments and ensure high system reliability
• Document cloud architecture, operational procedures, and runbooks
• Stay up to date with cloud technologies and recommend improvements
  
  

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering roles
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure, and familiarity with AWS or GCP
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, IAM, and cloud-native services
• Solid experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Ansible)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  
  

Preferred

• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400; or AWS equivalents)
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)
• CI/CD concepts and tools
• Experience using version control (Git)
• Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments
• Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft 365 integrations
• Exposure to compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, HIPAA)
• Familiarity with service mesh, serverless, and microservices architectures
• Experience in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments
