What You'll Be Doing :
- Work in a cross-functional team with software engineers, technical project managers, and data scientists to design, implement, and improve systems, procedures, and evaluate system performance through advanced monitoring and observability.
- Complete the migration of business-critical applications to a container-based infrastructure.
- Participate in a fully paid on-call rotation.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions, support team members by investigating irregularities, implement solutions, and document them via transparent and blameless postmortems.
- Implement and maintain intelligent monitoring, metrics, and alerting systems for services.
- Take ownership, contribute ideas, and help the company stay ahead by challenging current processes and considering improvements, always aligning with business priorities and value creation.
- Be an ambassador for cloud technologies, share knowledge through peer exchanges, guild meetings, and meetups.
What You'll Bring to the Role :
- Experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Containers.
- Exposure to ServiceMesh, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker is a plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile :
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with highly scalable, preferably cloud-based, systems.
- Good knowledge of shell scripting and Linux systems and tools.
- Experience with programming languages such as Go (preferred), Java, Kotlin, C, or C++.
- A pragmatic, results-driven mindset suited to a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English to communicate comfortably daily.
Additional Preferred Skills :
- Hands-on experience with technologies like Docker, Google Cloud, Terraform, gRPC, Kafka, Istio, Prometheus, Linux, Kubernetes, Envoy, Jaeger, or similar Cloud Native projects.
- Experience applying DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering principles.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with software engineers, project managers, and data scientists.
- Understanding of container-based infrastructures, resource schedulers, advanced monitoring, and observability systems, and modern infrastructure practices.
- Open-mindedness and eagerness to learn about modern application and infrastructure practices such as Monitoring, Networking, Containers, and other Cloud Native areas.
- Proactive personality, good communication skills, and confidence in presenting ideas and findings to stakeholders.
