EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

We are seeking a talented, goal-oriented, motivated, and proactive team player with excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills to join our Cloud Platform and Products team. You will work with leading industry cloud solutions and teams in Banking, Insurance, and other financial services sectors.

Candidates should be self-driven, eager to learn, and quick to upskill. As Cloud Architect, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the CISO and CISA to ensure security frameworks are implemented and adhered to within product teams.
• Working with cloud providers to model and extend our FSI cloud solutions based on SAP services and internal stakeholder requirements.
• Mentoring colleagues in your area of expertise and seeking automation and process improvements.
• Developing reference architectures for SAP Private Cloud deployments across hyperscalers and co-location data centers, following best practices.
• Aligning partner deployments with SAP Fioneer reference architectures and operating models.
• Providing cloud architecture advice to customers and internal teams.
• Serving as a technical architecture expert.
• Maintaining the service catalog for our technical services and solutions.
• Standardizing and simplifying system designs.
• Ensuring designs and operations comply with customer and FSI regulations.
• Enhancing cloud readiness assessments.
• Advising on network architecture and customer connection options across hyperscalers, private cloud data centers, and PaaS.
• Participating in presales activities.
• Driving customer onboarding and ensuring smooth handover to operations teams.
• Applying knowledge of security standards like SOC2 and ISO27001.
• Implementing system hardening and managing CI/CD processes aligned with ITIL.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of IT security standards, compliance, and technical architecture.
• Experience with hyperscaler cloud technologies.
• Security mindset and experience in the FSI or regulated industries.
• Ability to innovate, grow, and initiate new projects.
• Hands-on experience with SAP on-premise and private cloud environments.
• Certifications in SAP technologies and hyperscaler cloud platforms are preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proactive, flexible, and quick learner.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5+ years in SAP BASIS and/or SAP Technical Architecture.
• Experience with private cloud and security.
• Experience working with global teams and high collaboration levels.

PRODUCT EXPERIENCE

• Core: SAP BASIS, SAP HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Preferred: SAP IAS, SAP IPS, SAP role management, presales experience.

TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE

• Core: Cloud knowledge (Azure, AWS, GCP), SAP infrastructure, SAP security (SSO, SSL, encryption), SAP architecture.
• Preferred: Networking knowledge, on-premise technology experience.
