The Opportunity

Roche is seeking a talented Clinical Project Manager responsible for partnering with key stakeholders and CDMA (Clinical Development & Medical Affairs) functions to manage CDMA-related project information supporting decision-making by CDMA Project Teams, Leadership, Customer Areas, and Project Teams. This person will apply project management skills and clinical operations experience to ensure on-time delivery of CDMA-related deliverables, within budget, with high customer satisfaction. Projects may be complex and involve collaboration with other Clinical Project Managers, PMO Project Managers, and leadership.

In This Role, You Will

  • Ensure proactive alignment for planning and reporting CDMA-related project information with local and global teams and leadership to support informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with Functional Partners and Sub-Chapter Leads to coordinate clinical study budget planning and reporting processes.
  • Integrate planning of resources, expenditures, and timelines within project budgets.
  • Identify clinical study gaps, bottlenecks, and delays based on project assumptions.
  • Oversee risk management topics, including critical path, risk assessments, scenario creation, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with project team members and leadership to identify, propose, and implement solutions to mitigate gaps and delays.
  • Track and report real-time data for change, resource, and risk management across the CDMA portfolio.
  • Ensure transparent communication across stakeholders, PPMs, and project teams.

Who You Are

Formal Training/Education:

  • BS/BA in science, engineering, or business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Life Sciences or Engineering/Technical background preferred.
  • Project Management certification/training preferred.

Experience

  • 8+ years in project management, product development, or relevant fields.
  • Experience in research & development and clinical operations.
  • Experience in a regulated industry.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Stakeholder management, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or similar tools.
  • Ability to manage projects with ambitious milestones under pressure.
  • Understanding of design control and phased development processes (preferred).

Travel may be required. This position is based onsite in Tucson, AZ; Pleasanton, CA; Indianapolis, IN; Penzberg, Germany; Mannheim, Germany; or Rotkreuz, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is not available.

The salary range varies by location, with additional benefits and potential bonuses. Actual compensation depends on experience and other factors.
