As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Orthopaedics, your duties will include:
Providing holistic and evidence-based care throughout the Orthopaedic pathway.
Working both autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Overseeing the patient journey and advocating for patients.
Offering specialist nursing advice and support to patients and their families.
Driving service development and staff education.
Utilising excellent communication skills to succeed in the role.

To be considered for the Clinical Nurse Specialist role, you should have:
A Children’s Nursing Qualification – RN Child or RSCN with valid NMC registration.
At least 5 years post-registration experience in Children’s nursing.
A first degree in nursing or a health-related subject.
A relevant qualification in the specialist area with at least 12 months of experience.
A Mentorship qualification.
Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support.
Experience in audit and research relevant to the specialism.
Knowledge of safeguarding processes, with up-to-date level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
Understanding of clinical governance and managing risk.
