Clerk (m/f/d) Administration sewer information system

As an in-house company, the Erfurt drainage company is entrusted with a large number of diverse tasks. These include the operation and maintenance of 900 km of sewer network, the treatment of 18 million m³ of wastewater annually in the sewage treatment plant, the self-monitoring of the plants in the in-house wastewater laboratory, consulting, monitoring and recording in property drainage, as well as the commercial administration and planning of finances and investments. Become a part of this wide-ranging responsibility towards the citizens of Erfurt.

The area of responsibility includes the administration, coordination, operation and updating of the sewer information system. In particular, you will develop specifications, recommendations for action and strategies for the further development of the sewer information system together with software developers, users, the internal IT department and the Office for Information Technology and Statistics. You will also conduct in-house training courses on database and GIS applications. You will draw up emergency concepts to ensure the reliability and replacement supply of communication systems in the event of an emergency, monitor the functionality of the system, record and document faults and defects and initiate immediate measures if necessary. You will also be responsible for managing the technical database, in particular checking, processing and updating the sewer inventory data (graphic, factual and geodata), mapping complex issues by parameterizing the graphic display of technical and commercial factual data in the graphic system and evaluating the construction and surveying documents and legacy data and comparing them with the available survey results.

Requirements profile

What You Bring With You

  • a university degree (Diplom (FH) or Bachelor) in a field of information and communication technology, for example geoinformatics, geoinformation or computer science

  • knowledge in the fields of sewer operation and civil engineering, in dealing with CAD, graphical information systems and web technologies as well as standard software and willingness to familiarize yourself with the specialist software
  • Knowledge of the relevant legal and administrative regulations
  • the ability to achieve high-quality and usable work results, combined with an independent, proactive and cooperative way of working, a pronounced willingness to take responsibility and the ability to cooperate and work in a team-oriented manner
