HVAC/ Cleanroom Construction Manager
Düsseldorf - Large Pharmaceutical Company - 12-MonthsWe are recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical client based in the surroundings of Düsseldorf. Due to a large capital investment and multiple projects on site, the client is looking for a Cleanroom Construction Manager to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the HVAC and clean room construction activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Oversee the construction activities on mechanical equipment such as HVAC, cooling systems, chillers and air handling units from early design stage into commissioning activities.
- Direct and manage the general contractor on the installations.
- Monitor works completed by the EPCM and subcontractors ensuring adherence to project/client safety guidelines and project schedule.
- Confidence to challenge the GC on incorrect works and lead suggestions for improvements and best practice.
- Attend coordination meetings and liaise with senior stakeholders, the client, and the GC.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local permitting and government/local authority/statutory regulations.
Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on HVAC systems and clean room environments in pharmaceutical or industrial projects.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, clean room standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Language: Proficiency in English. German or other languages would be beneficial.
