CI Specialist / Continuous Improvement Business Partner (m / f / d), WSS Segment Europe

We are looking for an experienced CI Specialist / Continuous Improvement Business Partner (m / f / d) responsible for managing the execution of strategies supporting Xylem's Lean transformation. The role focuses on enhancing our value proposition to customers and delivering significant financial results.

You will support multiple international sites to foster cultural lean development and empowerment, while leading transformations and events to eliminate waste.

Locations: Herford, Langenhagen, Ludwigshafen (Germany), Sundbyberg (Sweden), Nanterre (France), Montecchio (Italy), with other European locations optional. The role offers a hybrid contract and requires travel of 50% or more to cover assigned sites.

Tasks

1. Lead CI implementation, standardization, and consistency across multiple sites, including training, projects, processes, methods, and tools to eliminate waste and promote flow.
2. Deliver training and coaching to teams and colleagues.
3. Collaborate with site business leads to support priorities and align CI projects with their needs.
4. Identify and communicate operational and strategic improvement areas, sharing best practices and lessons learned.
5. Mentor and coach in process mapping, 5S, VSM, and other lean events with cross-functional teams.
6. Analyze KPI trends, identify causes of variances, and recommend improvements.
7. Create and finalize standard work documents, procedures, and best practices.
8. Embed our culture and exemplify Growth Enabling Behaviors to foster innovation, empowerment, and accountability.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business; Master’s Degree preferred.
2. Lean Certification or Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (preferred).
3. 5-10 years of industry experience in a lean / continuous improvement environment.
4. Expertise in lean business system implementation and development; ability to work independently.
5. Proven knowledge of Lean Management, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement Management.
6. Experience applying Lean in non-manufacturing settings (services, transactional).
7. Financial data management skills, with ability to interpret financial reports and P&L statements.
8. Excellent presentation, project management, facilitation, and influencing skills.
9. Leadership capability, initiative, and commitment.
10. Ability to drive strategic and hands-on projects.
